- I’ve always noticed there is loads and loads about beaches such as Duck, Corolla, Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, etc., but there is next to nothing about any of the southern beaches. Well I’ve got some news for everyone, especially those who ask what town I stay in and they say “Oh, where’s Avon????” Duh, there are like 6 more cities South of Nags Head. Have you even ever CROSSED the Bonner Bridge? I know someone has to because it gets 10,000 passengers in the summer per day. So if you are looking for information about the northern beaches, you’ve come to the wrong place. I stay in the southern beaches, and I have no desire to stay in the more northern ones, though I have no problem with them. I want to inform people that there are in fact more beaches south of Nags Head and that they can be JUST AS FUN, if not better, than the beaches that have 9 Wings and resemble a normal small city with a Wal Mart & Applebees.
